Choosing a plan helps us plan capacity at your building; it is not a commitment. Switch anytime with no plan-change fee — the new monthly price stays fixed while service remains active on that plan.
Taxes are included. No fees are added to the monthly price — apartment installation is $150 once; a single-family or townhouse roof run is $999 once. Bring your own standard router, or ours is $149 once.
The cheap year is cheaper.
A promotional price can be cheaper in the first year. It’s designed to be. We chose a different bargain: a monthly plan price that stays fixed while service remains active on that plan, speeds published in both directions, a speed guarantee in writing, and email support handled by people.
The price also has physical work to do. ConnectNYC reaches the Upper West Side building by building — and one household is enough to start the building-check process at yours; we take it from there. Every new address extends a neighborhood network the incumbents left unfinished. We’re not the lowest-cost option, and we won’t fit every budget. We’re the local option built to keep the promise after the first bill.
A neighborhood network. Priced to stay one.
Fast is more than a download number.
Cable loves a big download headline. Uploads and latency are where your apartment notices the difference.
| What matters | ConnectNYC | Your current plan |
|---|---|---|
| Uploads | 50, 100, or 200 Mbps, depending on the home plan | Check the advertised upload speed, not only the download |
| Latency | Typically around 10 ms | Run a wired test and compare the result |
Cleaner video calls. More responsive gaming. Cloud backups that move along. And downloads come with written accountability: qualifying, persistent shortfalls caused within our network are fixed or credited under the NYC Speed Guarantee. See the full side-by-side →
Apartment installation: $150 once.
It covers equipment, activation, and setup in an apartment building — self-install or a professional visit, same price either way. A single-family home or townhouse installation is $999 once. Bring your own router, or buy ours for $149 once. Either way: $0 monthly equipment fees. Install details below →
The practical stuff
The install. The router. The phone.
Straight answers to the three questions everyone asks next.
The install — from $150 once
The method depends on your building. Customers in larger buildings can usually self-install using the building’s existing coax. Smaller buildings get a professional install with a dedicated line from the rooftop.
We tell you which one is yours after the building check. Once your building checks out, you’ll get a link to schedule your install. Qualified customers may have service installed in approximately 24 hours, subject to access and installation conditions. Either apartment method is $150, once.
Single-family home or townhouse? You can get service too — same plans, same monthly prices. The install is a bigger job (a dedicated roof run on your own house), so it runs $999, once. We confirm everything before a dollar is charged. How a townhouse install works →
The router — yours or ours
Bring your own standard router — free, welcome, encouraged. No gateway, no monthly rental: just a router.
Shopping for one? The router & Wi-Fi answer has model-specific guidance. Or skip the homework — ours is $149, once, tuned for our network.
The phone line — $50 flat
A real home phone line: $50/mo with all taxes and fees included. The price on this page is the price on the bill — no surcharge line items, no surprises.
Add it with your building-check request, or any time after by emailing support@connectnyc.com. Details & the 911 notice →
Broadband facts
Every plan, on one label.
The FCC-format Broadband Facts label for each plan — price, fees, typical speeds, and data policy, in the same order every provider has to use. Read ours next to anyone else’s.
Typical speeds and latency are as published on each plan’s Broadband Facts label, not the advertised rate; results vary with your building, your equipment, and what else is running. The service terms control. Our Network Management Disclosure describes how we manage the network.
One-time install: $150 in apartment buildings · $999 for single-family homes · $749 for business service. Qualified customers may have service installed in approximately 24 hours, subject to access and installation conditions. No card to request; cancel anytime.
