Executive Driver (Jericho, NY).
The CEO of Wave2Wave, the company that operates ConnectNYC, spends the day between the Jericho office, Upper West Side buildings, and meetings across the metro area. You drive. That means being at the door on time, knowing the route and the alternate before the traffic decides for you, keeping the vehicle clean and ready, and being the kind of quiet presence that lets someone work in the back seat. You do not need your own vehicle. Long days happen; the schedule is set in advance, and it moves.

Jericho, NY, driving throughout New York City and Long Island · Full-time or part-time · W-2 hourly employee · non-exempt, overtime after 40 hours · paid weekly
Pay: $20.00–$26.00 per hour
What you do
- Drive the CEO to and from the Jericho office, Manhattan, building sites, airports, and appointments across New York City and Long Island.
- Plan routes and timing ahead of each trip, with an alternate ready for traffic, closures, and weather.
- Keep the vehicle fueled, clean inside and out, and on schedule for service and inspections.
- Wait, sometimes for hours, and be ready to leave the moment the meeting ends.
- Run errands in between: pick up and drop off equipment, documents, and packages.
- Handle parking, tolls, and receipts, and turn in an accurate record.
- Keep what you see and hear in the car to yourself.
What you bring
- A valid New York State driver’s license and a driving record consistent with the job. A motor vehicle record check happens after a conditional offer.
- Years of confident, careful driving in Manhattan traffic and on Long Island parkways, in all weather.
- Punctuality that does not need reminding. Early is on time.
- Discretion. Conversations in the vehicle are not repeated.
- A smartphone and the ability to use navigation and messaging apps.
- Patience for waiting and for last-minute changes, without letting either show.
What success looks like
- The CEO never thinks about the car. It is there, it is clean, and it leaves on time.
- The route you picked was the right one, and when it was not, you already had the next one.
- Nothing that happens in the car is discussed outside it.
- The vehicle is always ready: fueled, serviced, and inspected before anyone has to ask.
Schedule
Full-time or part-time, mostly weekdays, with early starts and late evenings depending on the CEO’s calendar. Occasional weekend days. The schedule is set in advance and changes on short notice.
